Coir Geotextile Mat is a net fabric from coir fibre made from coir fibre extracted from coconut husk. It is a woven fabric made from coir yarn in which the warp and weft strands are positioned at a distance to get a mesh effect of ¼”, ½” and 1” square. The mesh gives the grass plenty of room to grow at the same time provides large number of “Check Dams” per square meter of soil media.

Coir woven geo textiles can be used to control erosion in slopes, riverbanks, coastlines, airfields, railroads, embankments, retaining structures, reservoirs, canals, dams, lakes, reinforcement of mud wall of stream, bunds, farm and fishponds against erosion and other applications involving separation and filtration. They provide a natural and biodegradable solution to prevent soil erosion and stabilize the soil. Coir woven geotextiles can be used as a reinforcement layer in the construction of road sand highways. They provide strength and stability to the subgrade and prevent soil deformation and rutting. Coir woven geo textiles can be used for gardening purposes and land scaping.
